Position Summary:

The Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator assists with the implementation, operation and management of a continuous quality improvement program for Wingspan and its affiliate agencies. The QI Coordinator plays an active role in the development and maintenance of systematic and objective quality improvement activities as well as provides administrative support related to the role.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform quality control audits to ensure compliance with Medicaid, contracts, HIPAA, and Electronic Health Record data entry procedures.
  • Participate as a member of the Performance Improvement (PI) Committee, Incident Report Committees, and other committees as assigned.
  • Assist in preparing data required for assigned committees.
  • Record meeting minutes for all assigned committees and provide summary reports of committee meetings to committee members and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Assist departmental needs by responding to necessary communications and submitting reports on behalf of supervisor as needed.
  • Monitor the production of quality results reporting; analyze, track and trend the reporting results and assess need for corrective action plans and follow up.
  • Support the department as assigned during regulatory surveys and reviews.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the policy and procedure manuals on behalf of supervisor as needed.
  • All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
  • Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment.  All client-related documents are to be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  • Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
Experience:
  • One year experience within behavioral healthcare environment working with clinical data or one year experience working in the developmental disabilities field required.
  • Compliance or Quality Improvement experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Excel preferred.
Benefits and Salary: 

The salary range is $40,000 - $45,000 per year depending on relevant education, experience, and licensure.
