Program Manager and Trainer

Human Resources - Shaker Heights, OH - Full Time

SUMMARY: The Program Manager and Trainer will support the EAP and Training Institute to address the evolving employee development and wellness needs of customer organizations and the community. The Program Manager will create and facilitate training to meet the needs of customer organizations and actively manage the accounts of EAP companies. Further, they partner with contracted organizations to help them meet their human resources strategies. In addition, they will also serve as a consultant and thought partner to potential customer organizations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Business Development:
  1. Serve as the ‘customer service representative’ for EAP and Training Institute for all contacts and companies.
  2. Support new contract opportunities through company requests for services and information. Relay information about potential new contract opportunities to the Program Director as needed to support development of new business relationships.
  3. Support the contract and MOU process for organizations or individuals seeking EAP or training services as needed.
  4. Maintain active communication during the implementation of new business accounts and projects. Actively work with the Program Director to ensure implementation meets contractual requirements.
  5. Actively seek out and engage in networking opportunities to expand business contacts and potential new business.

Training Services:
  1. Develop new training content and programming to meet the needs of EAP companies and training requests.
  2. Ensure current training library offerings are updated with current research and information.
  3. Schedule, arrange, coordinate, plan, and provide training as necessary for internal and external customers.
  4. Create and maintain electronic registration process for training offered to the community.
  5. Create and distribute marketing materials for training offered to the community using established platforms.

General Department Administration:
  1. Collaborate with colleagues to support the organization and other departments.
  2. Respond to concerns and complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Complete necessary paperwork and track documentation in a timely manner.

EAP Services:
  1. Establish positive and collaborative working relationships with EAP companies.
  2. Proactively communicate with EAP companies to ensure contractual obligations are met and companies are satisfied with EAP services.
  3. Consult with EAP companies to assess needs and recommend services and training that would support company needs.
  4. Create content to support EAP company needs including wellness opportunities and managing difficult events in the world impacting the workplace.
  5. Understand corporate policies as they relate to EAP and describe the process for referral based on those policies.
  6. Understand organizational culture and be able to support companies who are working to change their culture.

Measurement of Success and Key Targets
  1. Maintain positive feedback from EAP companies and training evaluations.
  2. Submit required program reporting to key stakeholders on time.
  3. Increase impact in the community through an increase in EAP and Training Institute contracts.

OTHER DUTIES:
  1. Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
  2. All required trainings, certifications, and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  3. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  4. Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adheres to Agency policies and procedures.
  5. Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  1. Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Public Health or related field.
  2. Licensure: 
  3. Skills/Competencies:
  • Demonstrated skill in facilitating training and presenting in front of all types of audiences including professional and non-professional audiences.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EAP including workplace trends and the ability to make the business case for EAP and training services.
  • Core Expertise: Possess skill, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential duties of their role; keep knowledge up to date.
  • Cultural Competency: Demonstrate awareness, sensitivity and skills in working professionally with diverse individuals, groups and communities who represent various cultural and personal background and characteristics.
  • Interpersonal Communication: Communicate clearly using verbal, nonverbal, and written skills in a professional context; demonstrates clear understanding and use of professional language.
  • Professional & Ethical Conduct: Adhere to professional values such as honesty, personal responsibility, and accountability; apply ethical concepts within scope of work and adheres to Agency policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Function effectively as a member of a professional team that includes employees, clients and family members.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Recognize problems and responds appropriately; gather information and sort through it to identify and address root cause issues; make timely decisions.
  1. Experience: Five years’ relevant work experience including public speaking, training, and supervision.
